With the temperatures dropping from the Summer normal 100+ degree weather to the Autumn 70 degree or so temperatures that are accompanied by rain, our Las Vegas homes can have the outside tracked into our homes. Normally you would pull out that well known “woodsy” scented floor cleaner to ensure that you cleaned up all the dirt and grime. What if there was a natural cleaning solution that were just as effective?
The best way to make sure that your home is clean and healthy is to use safe cleaning products that you create yourself. This way you will ensure that you know what is going into your products. Start by thinking about what dōTERRA CPTG essential oils you will want to use to clean the floor. Think about what type of feeling you want to evoke for the room. Remember these are CPTG essential oils so there is a health benefit to aromatically smelling. For your kitchen, I would recommend and use OnGuard first, next think Lemon (deodorizing) ! But you can also use Peppermint, Eucalyptus which can be purifying…Remember every essential oil has cleansing properties so go with one that will bring the emotional support you’re looking for.
Melaleuca promotes healthy immune function and especially useful during times of environmental and seasonal threats like the drastic change in weather in Las Vegas from Summer to Winter.
When making your essential oil heavy duty floor cleaner, make sure that you are using distilled water, which acts as a carrier or dirt solvent. Tap water, especially in Las Vegas, can have salts and minerals that will cause spotting.
All Natural Heavy Duty Floor Cleaner
Ingredients
- gallon bucket of water
- 1 Tablesppon castile soap
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 8-10 drops of dōTERRA Lemon essential oil
- 4-6 drops of dōTERRA Melaleuca essential oil
Directions
- Fill bucket with hot water
- Add castile soap, vinegar and essential oils
- Mop floors as usual
Helpful Hint: For extra cleaning power, add 1/4 cup of baking soda and rinse to remove any residue.
