I know I should try and glorify this recipe up, to be like all the other fabric softener recipes, but my life is too busy for complicated. I am just going to give it to you straight, and simple.
add 1/4 c white vinegar to your fabric softener container
2-4 drops essential oil…to make it extra smelly-good!
I just keep a gallon container in my laundry cupboard, then pour directly into my washing maching, then take whatever flavor I feel like smelling of essential oil and add.
I will say this though on the essential oils. If I’m doing a load of stinky mildewed rags, I’ll add oils like: melaleuca, lemon, citruses. Citruses especially help eliminate odors
